The first email was from jimineycrickey2012@gmail.com, asking "is the item still available?". When I responded I got an auto reply from millan.stone@gmail.com with the following scam attempt.

Word for word the same as the first commenter. It just seemed fishy compared to previous experiences I've had selling things online, so glad I decided to check it out.

Just today I got the same email from hondaran835@gmail.com.
Imagine if they put more energy in doing good as they waste time doing this.......Crazy dumb!!! Glad I thought to look up the address, the response was weird.thank you for setting this up to share and keep people aware!!

I posted an ad for tutoring on Craigslist and got a response from elizabethzlq@gmail.com but when I replied it automatically replied to millan.stone2@gmail.com requesting all of my personal info for a cashier's check. I'm glad i looked this up! THANKS!

I am an actual French tutor and he claims to have a daughter and that he would be in town for 6 weeks on business and needs my services...So he asked me for a quote for 3 days 2 hours a day for 6 weeks. I thought..wow he already wants 6 weeks, so i figured since he wants 6 weeks I'll give him a discount for the over total price... still naive at this point.first thought nothing of it,... I wanted to prepare some lessons for his "daughter" and asked on several occasions what subject area she would be studying. Millan Stone never answered the question, and only insisted describing the directions of what to do with the check. I was intrigued and wanted to see if this was real. A check came to me through USPS in the amount of $3500.00. I checked the EPA website for employees with the name Millan Stone. No such employee exists, and I'm pretty sure the check is fake.
If it's too good to be true than it probably is.
