Hello,
Thanks for getting back to me on time, I'm okay with the price and I will like to know much about its present condition. I'm aksing this because I'm not going to be around to come look at it before payment & pickup. I will appreciate if you can send me more closer pix but if it's not available and you can assure me of getting the best there is no problem.
My mode of payment is via check, you will send me your full name and adddress for it to be mailed. I have a reputable mover that will come for the pickup after payment is settled. The check Im sending will be in excess, you will deduct your part and give the difference to the mover for the shipping service. I'm asking you to do this for me because of my tight schedule at work and I need to finalize this ASAP.
Best of Regards.

I sent a poster on craiglist at May 4, 2012 to sell my piano, as we are moving to another state recently and cannot move this piano. On May 6, I received a reply from a email "mandotman00@gmail.com" with name of "Katherine Shepard". I continued to contact with this guy and he started to use the email of kshepard2008@gmail.com to contact with me. The price is $270 for this piano. He sent me a fedex with $1,990 check on May, 16. and I deposit this money on the same day in my bank. He asked me to send the mover the moving fee with $1,450. Then I send the cash on May, 17 through western Union. The total money is $1,574 which include $124 transfer fee and $1,450. The receiver is Tammy Hight, fort Worth, Texas 76116. On May 21, which is Monday morning, I found the check of $1,990 is returned, and the Bank agent said this check is not valid. Thus, I lost &1,574 to this Katherine Shepard and Tammy Hight. I have all the record of gmail chat for this issue. I’d like everyone knows they are scammers and not do the same thing like me.
Well she got us also. Our check was dated 5/22/12. Thankfully our bank spotted it as fraud before they deposited it but its the same story our piano was for sale overnight-ed cashiers check for $1990.00 which didn't seem unreasonable because our piano was $500 and the movers we called and set up for her were $1287. All the emails were at Kshepard2008@gmail.com the cashiers check was from Marine Bank and the sender name was Donna Miller the fed ex sender was Joyce Wilson and a business name of Big Town in White Settlement TX.
This just really stinks we are unemployed and were counting on these funds. Hopefully more people will will check her out first. Wonder what her thing is for pianos?
Best Regards, R
I just got a mandotman00...wanting to buy my piano. Same story as all of yours. I am reporting them to craigslist. Too bad, it is a really nice piano!

Hi,
Thanks for the response, I'm okay with the price and condition of the
instrument and I'll be glad to proceed. I will not be around to come
take a look at the instrument before the purchase due to my busy
schedule / nature of work. I'm presenting the musical instrument to my
church as a gift because the present one needs a change and I want to
present it on or before the Anniversary day that is coming up soon.
Im sending you a cashiers check and will wait till it clears your bank
before any shipping arrangement is done. The payment will be sent in
excess, it will include the shipping fee. You will faithfully deduct
your money for the instrument and give the overage to the mover for
the shipping service.
I'm craving your indulgence in this regard because my present work
schedule is very tight and I need to present this to my church. Kindly
get back to me in your next email with your full name and address for
the payment to be sent ASAP.
Thanks.
I just received that exact same email. Unfortunately, we are at the purchase stage and awaiting the cashier's check now. My mom, a bank teller, will be reporting this to the fraud department and giving them the check. I am collecting the emails for her. I am also sending the information on to Google and Craigslist. Don't know how much good it will do, but I thank all of you for posting about this. It saved our butts.

It is incredible the lengths people will go to. The way the email was worded threw up the red flag for me. Needless to say, I sent him (as i have a good notion its a jackass man) a scathing email letting him know that I reported the email address to every place I could think of. Do not trust anyone on these sites. I am glad you saw these before cashing the check!
