Employers who don't ask for interviews are red flag to reader. I wonder if they send the employee a bogus check for the errands or for the weekly salary and ask for an overage to be sent back to them. We'd be interested in learning more about that if anyone knows. Here's what the reader said, followed by the scammers' note:

point. Please note that this position is not office based for now
because of my frequent travels and tight schedules, it's a part-time

I'm glad I found your blog. I got the same exact script from a a guy going by the alias "Steven Fite". I almost got scammed by him but didn't fortunately.
A few weeks later, he accidentally sent me an email meant for someone else that he was trying to scam. I warned the other individual about "Steven's" scam since their whole conversation was sent with the message.

I just got this message too, with the exact same kennon wiston gmail account responding to me. What obviously tipped me off was the need for my personal info, when it had obviously been sent in my resume, and the fact that the response was around 2:30 in the morning.
I responded to the ad. It had the same exact response. I sent him my resume and he still ask for my personal information. The same name Kannon Winston and email address. I am glad I found this site. I will be more careful. He did not ask for an interview either.
I as well got email from this guy claiming he helped foster kids and that is what Id be doing. Not interview and I feel its very rude for someone to take advantage of people looking for work.

the address all had different email addresses in the reply to lines.

Yes, they continue to scam. I have received several notes from different people over the past few days. You need to get your credit report...blah blah. Script is the same but different day. Steven Fite was also the last one I got about 20min ago. Has anyone reported to Craigs? Actually its likely very difficult for them to prove. Yes they can shut down his/her account but that does not stop the madness, The real travesty is targeting the unemployed in this economy! Makes me wonder if credit report.com is not also involved by unscrupulous employees???

I just got Kennon Wiston. I've gotten a few before and unfortunately, I responded to the first one as I would have been a nanny (dumb mistake, but he was smart and sent pics of the girl and him). Needless to say I was very cautious this time and I'm glad I was! Thanks for having this site!

well this Scotfred Paul, hired me to be his personal assistant as you have mention previosly. I received a USPS envelope with 2 USPS money orders of $972. He said to please cash the money orders send from an agency and forward it to an orphanage in NY to the manager Jerrod Vail. The money orders were stolen and my bank account is frozen and thankfully the bank noticed it before I send the money. People please be careful.
